- Main Destination: Glacier National Park
You are picked up for a beautiful 30-mile drive to Glacier National Park. On the way to the park, we will drive along side the Great Flathead River. See it's great tributaries feed it with glacier fed water. Possibly stop at Hungry Horse Dam. Enter the top of the dam and go down 500 feet for a tour. Also view the reservoir reaching over 25 miles back into breathtaking mountains. Move on to enter Glacier Park. Waterfalls, jagged peaks, historic landmarks and wildlife all right outside your window. Drive along Lake McDonald. Maybe you would like to visit the famous Lake McDonald Lodge. Drive around Glacier Park, follow the wild and scenic
middle fork of the Flathead River, stop at the Goat Lick, Bob Marshall wilderness trail-heads, and the Continental Divide. Going over Marias Pass, the views are endless. Cruise down the east slope where jagged peaks and open ridges spill out onto the prairie. This is prime grizzly bear habitat. Drive through Two Medicine country, land of the Blackfeet indian nation. View Glacier National Park from a perspective that most people miss out on. Maybe stop at Two Medicine Lake or St. Mary's Lake.
You might want to go on a boat tour. Rocky peaks jet up from the prairie thousands of feet above the lakes. A variety of wildlife can be viewed. This excursion offers dramatic changes in elevation, vegetation, landscape, and culture. Everywhere is a photo safari. Many adventure possibilities.
- Moeise National Bison Range
Drive through thousands of acres of prairie and mountains. Photograph buffalo, bighorn sheep, antelope, and many other possible animals. It is an American safari. Travel along beautiful Flathead Lake and through the Flathead Indian Reservation.
- Jewel Basin Primitive Hiking Area
50 miles of trails. 27 alpine lakes. Cut Throat trout. Possible deer, bear, goats,and other wildlife may be viewed. Hiking around 6000 feet. Views for 100+ miles.
- Wildlife Photo Safaris
You choose which species of wildlife that you would like to concentrate on for photos, I will try to put you in the right spot. Will travel 100 mile radius from our Bigfork, MT base to try to accomodate your request. Untold adventure could unfold while in our search.
- Spotted Bear Wilderness
Somewhere at the end of 55 miles of dirt road is a beautiful spot, the Southfork River and the Spotted Bear River come together to create the most pristine swimming hole around. I know the fish think so! Walk on the swinging bridge, the crystal green Southfork River just below you. While traveling to and from Spotted Bear, drive along the reservoir created by Hungry Horse Dam, a creek around every corner, mountains as far as you can see. Any kind of wildlife may be seen. Stop wherever you want. Take a dip, wet a line, or go for a hike. This Montana excursion has many adventure possibilities.
- Swan River Inner Tube Float
Float a portion of the Swan River on an inner tube. You are dropped off and picked up. Takes approximately 3 hours round-trip, depending on how long you stop to swim or fish. Float all day, pick huckleberries, swim, fish, and hike. There is always something to do.
- Goat Lick
Natural wonder. Goats, and other wildlife, come to lick minerals from the huge cliff while the wild and scenic Middle Fork River rages below them.
